Ashley's Confections and Sweet Things

Our Story

 

Ashley's Confections and Sweet Things was opened by 10-year old Ashley in June of 2013. For Christmas that same year, she got the book It's Raining Cupcakes. Since she was three years old, Ashley loved to bake with her mom and twin sister, Aspen. After reading the book, she wanted to open her own bakery, and spent about six months planning and building her business. Finally, after a lot of work, Ashley was able to open the bakery and recieved her first order shortly after. Since then, Ashley was able to successfully run the bakery for about three years, even participating in events such as the Kidpreneur Challenge. Enterting high school as a 13-year old, Ashley closed the business for another three years, but decided to reopen in summer of 2019 and is excited to run it again!
